May be a rough night

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for:
Huron - Perth
A cluster of local heavy rain in the Bracebridge and Muskoka area is persisting and giving localized heavy rainfall amounts of 50 mm in an hour or so. Motion is slowly to the northeast. This area of rain should gradually weaken between 9 and 10 pm. Doppler radar at 9:20 pm indicated the intense thunderstorm moved across the Goderich area and is moving eastwards. It should weaken shortly but the warning remains in effect until then. It is capable of producing strong wind gusts to 90 km/h and torrential downpours of 50 millimetres in an hour. Frequent intense lightning is also accompanying the storm. This is a warning that severe thunderstorms are imminent or occurring in these regions. Remember some severe thunderstorms produce tornadoes..Listen for updated warnings. Emergency Management Ontario recommends taking cover immediately when threatening weather approaches.

This area of rain should gradually weaken between 9 and 10 pm. Doppler radar at 8:50 pm indicated an intense thunderstorm over Lake Huron to the west of Goderich is capable of producing strong wind gusts to 90 kmh and torrential downpours of 50 millimetres in an hour. Frequent intense lightning is also accompanying this storm as it moves east into the Goderich area towards 9:15 pm.
