I found Joseph Turnbull, my Great Grandfather, who is buried in Little Lake Cemetery (Peterborough, Ontario), but also located his father, Thomas Turnbull's plot in Kingston. I about fell out of my chair when I learned he is in the same cemetery as First Prime Minister & Father of Confederation Sir John A. MacDonald, but really shouldn't be surprised..... probably the only cemetery there at the time. Thomas I believe and Sir John were drinking buddies or so I hear.
Looked up the Cemetery itself and it is absolutely beautiful:

I love genealogy!!
If you have relatives buried in Ontario, Canada; this site is invaluable:

Freeze Frame :-)
I thought I had posted a picture of my frizz free curls but I must have just dreamed it.
Yes, I normally smile for pictures, but taking self portraits never was my strong suit :)
Enjoy lol

32 Days
According to my little pregger ticker at lilypie, there is 32 days left until my estimated due date. About now our baby is gaining about an ounce per day and brain development is rapidly forming.
That would explain a lot of the action I've been seeing tummy wise LOL
35 weeks 3 days, where has this time gone?
I thought for sure it would crawl by.
Just over 4 weeks to go and hopefully then I'll be holding our baby in my arms.
Thanks for reading...

Pick Me Up Day
I feel like I've been fighting a touch of a head cold, not full blown, but enough to irritate the you know what out of me. Yesterday was the "worst" and now I feel I'm finally on the mend in that department. I think it would have been MUCH worse had I not drank as much orange juice that thanks to the heartburn meds I can finally drink and enjoy.
Yesterday I just rested and slept on the couch and watched tv, and knitted (I'm attempting to make a pair of slippers for hubby who's birthday is on the 22nd) and ate and drank as much as I could.
The plan was to have shepherd's pie for dinner and we had hamburger thawing in the fridge for it. Rob called and deducing from how awful I apparently sounded said take it easy, I'll just make burgers tonight, don't worry about dinner. Am I blessed or WHAT? I love my hubby :)
This morning feeling just tired from the whole ordeal of this bug whatever it was, I took a shower to freshen up, wash my hair and put some smellies (L'air du Temp) on to perk my olfactory system. As I was towelling off, thought I'd treat myself and fix myself up even though I'm not going anywhere today. It had been forever since I did anything to my hair so decided to let it go curly and fix it up that way.
Normally when I do that, it turns into a frizz zone.
I went through my goop collection to see what I had and found this stuff called curls and shine. For once I read the directions and followed them to the letter. I do believe I conquered my unruly hair and the whole ordeal took less than 20 minutes with my blow dryer.
So now I sit here feeling pretty for the first time in a long time lol I think I should do this more often. Take THAT old man winter!

Crochet WIP for Baby
Finally took a few pictures of the baby afghan I'm working on for our baby.
When I was taking the picture even though I had all the curtains open, all the lights on and the dimmer lights at their brightest point, the camera flash kept going off so it looks like pink is the dominant colour. There is equal amounts of pink blue and green. I have no idea what the gender of this baby is, one day I am thinking girl, the next day baby boys come to mind. A few people though seem to have their "money" on a baby boy. We'll see, they have a 50/50 chance of being right! LOL
