One big 'ol entry

Just to bring you up to speed on some things going on here...

First the big news: After having a real estate agent through our house as it stands now to give us an estimate of what it would go for as it is. And to give us an idea of what it would go for if we tore it back to the studs and completely remodeled it. It was only $40,000 difference... so the for sale sign goes up today or tomorrow. We are "officially" on the market with a listing price of $129,900.00. The reason we would not get much for this place even if it was all done up to the 9's is the fact that we live next door to Meulensteen Tire which is very noisy especially in the summer when they work with the overhead doors open, and we're a good distance away from the public school with no bus pick up in this area.

The reason we'll get this much for the place (as opposed to comparable places in the same location) is the fact that the yard is huge and beautifully maintained. The deck is well built. Those combined will be selling features.

Next on the list for news. I had to give a speech to a group of about 100 people. Can we say NERVOUS???? The occasion was a life membership night for a fellow kinette. Life Membership awards are one of the highest title you can bestow on a Kin member, and as far as I'm aware, it's always a huge surprise to the recipient. They don't know it's a life membership party until it's announced at the event. Because I'm president this year, I represented the club. I think a lot of people were surprised I pulled it off.

Next, Rob started school this past week. Mondays and Wednesdays evenings he will be in class.

I have an appointment this coming Wednesday to see a specialist in London to discuss the lack of a pregnancy so far. We're meeting Rob's mother afterwards for lunch and to buy a tent at Costco where she has a membership.

I haven't seen a hummingbird in over 2 weeks so I think they are all gone. I still keep the feeder up though in case a straggler comes through.

Baking bread in a trailer is fun..... but we've been yielding good results. Nice tall fluffy bread. I make two loaves at a time. One for us, one for the neighbour who just underwent hip replacement surgery. He's got a titanium hip now lol

Clearing out the upstairs, I have donated so far 7 large leaf bags full of stuff to the thrift store. Should take photos of the upstairs now... it looks better being cleaned up. I also scaled back my clothes that don't fit anymore since my quit and only take up 3 dresser drawers now. But that is partly because I'm living out of a tote while we travel to and from the lake.

The next little while is going to be dedicated to putting stuff in totes and storing it in the shed. There is a lockbox on the side door handle so real estate agents who know the 4 digit code can have access to the house key to show since we're rarely here during the week.

At least now we don't have to rush home to work on the house and Rob can focus on his studies.

We're going to my parents today so I can use their dishwasher to wash mason jars. I have 4 bushels of tomatoes coming to me on Friday so guess how Saturday is going to be spent? LOL

That said, I should wrap up here and get ready. Tonight is also the first kinette meeting of the year and need to be there for 6:30.

Miss all of you.

Jenn :D
